The IOF Advanced Training Course on Osteoporosis, taught in English by an internationally renowned faculty, provides a concise and practical overview of the latest knowledge on the physiology, epidemiology, diagnosis and management of osteoporosis. The 2.5 day course, held annually in Lyon since 1991, trains up to 250 international participants. It is aimed at medical professionals as well as participants from pharmaceutical and diagnostic industries. Discussion periods, roundtable discussions and meet-the-professor sessions are included throughout the programme to encourage direct interactions between registered participants and faculty members.
As in previous years, up to 20 grants will be awarded to health care professionals affiliated to IOF member societies.
These grants are aimed at young doctors/members who will play a role in teaching and/or research in the field of osteoporosis. They include:
– free registration
– hotel accommodation for a maximum of 3 nights
– breakfast, coffee break and lunch during the meeting
Please note that your society is responsible for the travel expenses, visa if applicable, insurance, etc.
You may nominate ONE doctor/member from your society.
Your nominee must return the attached registration form, together with your society letter of recommendation and the nominee’s CV not later than November 25, 2009 to Ageeth van Leersum-Frikkee (IOF) at [email protected].
We kindly request you to distribute the information about the course to any other doctors/members of your national society who would be interested in attending the course (possibly by posting the course link on your website or a small article in your upcoming newsletter).
